Steelhead

Ive purchased several pair of Calcutta sunglasses over the past 2 years. I have never had lenses degrade litterally after one use. I can only imaging the lenses missed a protective coating step in manufacturing. If the lenses cannot standup to a few splashes of salt water, they should never be marketed for fishing . This is the Steelhead Matte Black/Blue Mirror polarized sunglasses.

I bought an amber lens pair of Shock Waves and liked them so much I bought a grey lens pair. Extremely comfortable and the lenses are crystal clear.. Not just great glasses for the price, but a true great pair of glasses!

I bought these on impulse at West Marine since they fit well and they looked good. My wife thought they looked good too! I enjoyed them for a few days before wearing them out on the boat. I took a little spray when wearing them and then, back at home, noticed what looked like scratches on the outside of the lens. I just assumed my kids had bumped them with something. Next day I went back out and it was rough so I took quite a lot of spray. By the time I got back to the dock the blue coating on the outside of the lenses was gone from wherever drops of saltwater hit them. Very disapointed!
